Interesting paper: participants got $50 to ‘trade’ in S&P or bonds as if it were a given day in the last 15 years, and they were shown the WSJ headline from the *next* day (36-hour clairvoyance)

At the age of 29, Perelman provided a short proof of the soul conjecture (10 years before Poincaré) and then gave a talk at Princeton. The leaders in the math dept asked him to apply and asked for a CV. Perelman thought no CV was necessary after the talk, and didn't apply.

The apparent "philosophical problems" of quantum mechanics are not unique to QM at all: they are in fact the same problems that arise whenever one attempts to construct an abstract model of reality. We can see these problems already in high school-level mechanics. (1/14)
